Feel Free to Feel Green

This year, Athens Video Art Festival presents the thematic chapter “FEEL FREE TO FEEL GREEN”, as part of the organization, in which there will be exhibited eco sensitive art works of all its categories.

With “Feel free to feel green” and under the aegis of Greek Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climatic change, Athens Video Art Festival 2010 will present art works that investigate the relationship between the modern human and the environment. With respect to visual creation as well as the important ecological and environmental issues of our times, Athens Video Art Festival 2010 has invited contemporary artists to create works and be inspired, submitting their own views on these matters. With the goal of public awareness and action involving environmental issues, eco sensitive art works come together during a special three day program appealing to a wider public, open to impulses and familiar with new media. This way, and with the new forms of digital arts as a vehicle, we aim to enforce the public’s conception in matters of ecological sensitivity. More specifically, there will be presented works of all categories (Installations, Video Art, Digital Image etc), as well as activities relevant to this year’s thematic chapter “FEEL FREE TO FEEL GREEN”.
